Stoke striker Odemwingie hoping Cardiff stay up

Stoke City striker Peter Odemwingie is hoping former club Cardiff City beat the drop.

Since arriving at the Britannia Stadium the former West Brom star has had a new lease of life.

After their draw at Cardiff, the Nigerian said: "There are certainly no hard feelings because I had to leave.

"I had a message from my mum on Friday reminding me how we still had many warm feelings towards Cardiff.

"If I had the choice maybe I would have said I don't want to play this game. But I'm a Stoke City player now and I had to play.

"I really hope Cardiff get the points to stay up."
