Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has paid tribute to Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.

Crouch was one of a host of Premier League stars who last night paid tribute to Liverpool great Gerrard, who has announced he will quit Anfield in the summer.

The Stoke striker was a team-mate of Gerrard's for three seasons from the summer of 2005, and he took to Twitter to say: "I've been fortunate to have played with some top players in my time, but Stevie G is easily the best."
