Stoke striker Crouch included in Guinness World Records Book

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has been included in the 2018 Guinness World Book of records for the most headed goals scored in the Premier League.

The 36-year-old currently boasts 51 top flight goals which were scored during his stints with Aston Villa, Southampton, Liverpool, Portsmouth, Tottenham and Stoke.

He said, "It feels good! To hold any record, certainly in the Premier League, is great. I'm very proud of it," said Crouch, who has scored 105 Premier League goals in 436 appearances.

"If you are a centre-forward, you should be in the box, ready for the ball," added the former England international.

"That is the way I have always played my game and that will never change. I see centre-forwards hanging around outside the box and it blows my mind, I just can't get my head around it."

Other players who are set to appear in the records next year include Dele Alli (8 nutmegs in one minute), Christian Benteke ( for scoring the fastest goal in World Cup qualifying in just 8.1 seconds) and Cristiano Ronaldo, who has now scored in four different UEFA European Championship tournaments, which is the most of any player.
