Stoke striker Crouch: I had shocking time as junior player!

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch admits he had a terrible time as a junior player - because no-one believed his age!

His Dad needed to carry Crouchie’s ID and the Stoke star said: “Us big guys have a pretty bad reputation in the game and with me it started very young.

“Dad always had to provide proof of my date of birth because other parents always complained when they saw me and said, ‘He has to be 15 ... not 12!‘”
