Peter Crouch has admitted that he would like to extend his stay at Stoke City beyond the end of the current campaign.
Crouch scored a dramatic late winner to help Stoke City to a 2-1 victory over Southampton at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday and following the game, the veteran striker has admitted that he would like to extend his stay with the club despite his advancing years.
Crouch said: "I love it still. I love being a part of it. I'm frustrated because I want to be starting games. I thought I had a good chance (against Southampton), but it was not to be.
"Yeah, but when I do get the nod, hopefully I can make an impact and scoring a goal is a big impact. I still feel I can play full games at this level.
"I feel great. Since I've been at the club, I can count the number of trainings sessions I've missed on one hand, let alone games. I still feel I can play 90 minutes whenever called upon. I still love it. Scoring that goal is why we are footballers, it's such a great feeling.
"I know I can play this season and I know I can play next season. I'll take two years!"
