Stoke City striker Peter Crouch admits the way he was treated at Tottenham still burns.
Crouch left Spurs in 2011 to join Stoke.
He said: "It was a shame how it ended at Tottenham because I loved it there – but I knew the manager wanted to bring in Adebayor and that meant me moving on. The way it was done wasn't great.
"Even when I was at the top of my game, at Tottenham, at Liverpool, I felt like I was a stop gap to someone better coming in. I genuinely always felt that."
