"The Premier League is a fantastic place to be," Cresswell told The Sentinel. "It is where every pro wants to get and I am looking forward to it after we worked so hard to get there.
"I was there with Sheffield Wednesday, but that was difficult as a young lad. Wednesday could pick from players like Benito Carbone, but it was still a great experience for me to be involved and will stand me in good stead going back up there.
"We were then up at the top of the league at Leicester before finishing in mid-table. I played a few games, but got frustrated with not playing and felt it was time to move on.
"But I'm definitely better equipped now having played 450 games. This is a step back up, but I'm a better player than I was."
