Stoke City striker Bojan Krkic feels Lionel Messi isn't receiving the full support he needs at Barcelona.

Bojan did his preseason under Barca coach Luis Enrique before moving to England.

He told L'Esportiu: "When we were in the team together things were going well, there were no conflicts or problems.

"Every player needs encouragement, and Messi wants to feel important and loved; that's when you get the best out of him. He has been and continues to be so crucial that he's won the right to decide when he plays and when he doesn't, because he's not just the leader on the pitch, but of the club too."
