Stoke City striker James Beattie is being linked with West Ham United.
The Mirror says West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola is eyeing Beattie as cover for crocked England international Carlton Cole.
Liverpool have also been linked with Beattie, who is set to be sold by Stoke in January after his blazing row with manager Tony Pulis.
