Stoke City are ready to offer £2 million for Real Zaragoza winger Jermaine Pennant.

The Daily Star says Pennant, 27, is desperate to return to England after a difficult spell with the Spanish side, following his move from Liverpool last summer.

And Pulis is prepared to take a gamble and sign him this summer after failing with an attempt to get him on loan in January.
