Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross was happy with the way he handled abusive Arsenal fans at Emirates stadium.
Last Wednesday, the Stoke defender played at the Emirates for the first time since his challenge broke Gunners starlet Aaron Ramsey's leg almost exactly 12 months earlier.
Shawcross' Potters lost 1-0 but he said: "The abuse didn't hinder me. In fact, it made me want to perform even better.
"In time, I might look back on it as a game where I moved on another level.
"There is always going to be a pantomime villain and, last Wednesday, it was me."
