Stoke City skipper Ryan Shawcross knows Liverpool will fancy a bit of revenge in tonight's Carling Cup tie.

Stoke beat them 1-0 last month and 2-0 last November.

But Shawcross admitted: "They'll be desperate to get the win to take them a step closer to Wembley and avenge those defeats at our place.

"I don't think those victories of ours will mean anything. We know what a good side Liverpool are."
