Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross will turn down Wales.

He wants to push for an England place with club boss Tony Pulis claiming his Stoke captain is another John Terry.

Pulis said: "Can he mix it with the John Terrys? Yes, I've no doubt - Ryan's that good. He's still young and defenders get better as they get older."
