Stoke City skipper Ryan Shawcross admits their cancelled game at Arsenal proved a nightmare journey.
Shawcross and his team-mates were stuck in a motorway nightmare on Saturday after their game against Arsenal was postponed.
The Potters team bus was trapped for hours on the M1 as lorries and cars skidded into each other around them.
Shawcross did not return home until almost 11pm due to the heavy snow and atrocious driving conditions.
He said: "We certainly don't want another day like that - it was an horrendous journey.
"Spirits remained high on the bus and I suppose in many respects it was a relief that we actually made it home. With so many cars and lorries getting stuck and being abandoned, we were fortunate that we didn't end up that way.
"We had to put towels under the wheels of the bus when we got stuck at one point. A lot of the players had to bounce up and down on the back seat to add more weight.
"Luckily we had stopped off at Newport Pagnell services for food and drink, but it was something none of us want to ever go through again."
