Stoke City skipper Abdoulaye Faye was part of a squad tour of local ceramic firm Steelite International, in Middleport, on Tuesday.

Stoke management are keen for their players to stay in touch with the local community, something that Faye fully backs.

He told The Sentinel: "The supporters give everything for this club. They are the best in the Premier League and it was important for us to see them working.

"Now I will be going to watch the team play Portsmouth, just like them.

"We've made a great start to the season, but we need to win this game because it is still tight between us and the bottom."
