Wigan striker Henri Camara says he's making up for lost time after joining Stoke City on-loan yesterday.
Camara, 31, started only three Wigan games this term and made just 10 appearances on loan at West Ham last season.
He said: "I had a wasted year and then spent most of this season on the bench.
"I understand and respect Steve Bruce totally. He's the manager and has done brilliantly with the Wigan team.
"But when I was given this chance I had to take it for the sake of my career."
Camara is set to be paired with James Beattie who cost £3.5million when he came from Sheffield United.
