Stoke City signing Charlie Adam holds no grudge against Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
Adam made a successful Potters debut in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Wigan Athletic.
"I spoke to Brendan and he told me he saw me more as a squad player," said Adam. "Things change because the people that took me to Liverpool aren't in charge any more. But it was a fantastic year.
"I was at one of the best clubs in the world, but if you are not going to play every week at Liverpool then let's go and try somewhere else.
"This is a club that is going in the right direction and, hopefully, I can add to what is here."
