Stoke City are considering a surprise swoop for Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to reports from the Sun.

The long-term future of Oxlade-Chamberlain at Arsenal is currently in doubt as the England international has not yet signed a new contract with the Gunners.

And with only 12 months remaining on his current deal, a host of clubs are monitoring the situation.

Now in surprise reports, it has been claimed that even Stoke City have joined the race to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain and are ready to splash a club record fee of around £25m to recruit the 23-year-old as a replacement for the recently departed Marko Arnautovic.
