Stoke City are in talks for midfielder Diego Arismendi.

The Mirror says Stoke boss Tony Pulis is making a surprise £5million move for Uruguay's highly-rated young midfield destroyer Arismendi.

Pulis is in talks with the 21-year-old giant's agent and the South American starlet is due to fly in on Thursday to sort out terms and apply for a work permit - in a race to get him registered before the window shuts.
