Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is set to continue his overhaul of the squad by selling Charlie Adam and Glenn Johnson during the January transfer window.
Hughes is no stranger to selling senior players as he sold the likes of Glenn Whelan to Aston Villa and Jon Walters to Burnley during the summer transfer window.
Both players are said to be earning around £40,000 a week.
Former England national team right–back Johnson has not made Hughes's squad for Stoke's last four games.
Adam also appears to be surplus to requirements at the club as he has tasted just two minutes of Premier League action so far this season.
Meanwhile veteran striker Peter Crouch has signed a one year contract extension with the Potters which will see him remain at the club until the end of next season.
Hughes said: “Peter has been with Stoke longer than he has been with any other club which I think speaks volumes for how he views us and how we view him.
“He still has so much to offer us. He may be 36 but he continues to have a major impact on games, as he has proved on numerous occasions this season."
