Stoke City have signed Carl Dickinson to a one-year contract extension.

Dickinson penned the deal ahead of yesterday's loan move to Leeds United. Fellow defender and Academy graduate Andy Wilkinson is also close to signing a deal.

"I've got a very high opinion of Carl," said manager Tony Pulis, "and that is shown by us offering him a new contract when he still has something like two-and-a-half years left on his current contract.
