Stoke scorer Huth tribute to fans after reaching FA Cup semis

Stoke City defender Robert Huth paid tribute to the Brit fans after their FA Cup victory over West Ham United.

The Potters now face Bolton Wanderers in the semifinals.

Huth, who claimed his eighth goal of the season with a clinically taken first half header, told stokecityfc.com: "It is great to play in front of these supporters. Just look at the excitement around the stadium, the fans are singing and dancing and they absolutely deserve it.

"They have been brilliant for us all season and I'm happy for them to be able to go to Wembley in this competition." He added: "A lot was made after last week's disappointing result at their place, but we always knew that today would be different in front of our fans.

"We are a very difficult team to beat here and we have again proved that today. I thought we fully deserved the victory, and even after Matty missed the penalty, he, nor the rest of the lads let it affect them, we kept going and believing and in the end we got exactly what we deserved."
