Stoke City defender Matthew Upson will not be taking an ageing Andriy Shevchenko lightly tonight.
The former Arsenal centre-half and ex-Chelsea striker will do battle when Stoke host Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League group stage at Britannia Stadium and Upson is well aware of the threat the 35-year old can still cause.
"Shevchenko is very alive," said Upson whose Potters need just a point to ensure qualification from Group E.
"He looks pretty sharp at the moment and his movements good.
"The other guy who played up front, Andriy Yarmolenko, is more of a target man and is a good player.
"They've got some good wide players so there are problems coming at you from all angles."
