Stoke City midfielder Michael Tonge has joined Championship club Barnsley on loan for the rest of the season.
The 28-year old has been used sparingly by Tony Pulis in recent seasons and will now head to Oakwell for first team game time with the Tykes.
Tonge has struggled to become a regular at the Britannia Stadium following his 2008 move from Sheffield United and will now look to help Keith Hill's men up the tier two table on which they currently sit 15th.
