Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross has emerged on the radar of Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Daily Mail suggests that the 26-year old centre-back is wanted by City who are looking to bring in some English players in the summer to meet the homegrown player guidelines.
Shawcross is valued at around £12million after winning Stoke's Player of the Year award and is also a target for Newcastle United who are seeking reinforcements after a poor end to the 2013/14 campaign.
