Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross will be at Arsenal's training ground today. The Daily Mail says Shawcross will have to walk into Arsenal's training ground this morning less than 48 hours after his red card challenge left Aaron Ramsey with a career-threatening broken leg.
Fabio Capello named Shawcross in his England squad for the first time on Saturday night after watching a video of the tackle, and will tell him to ignore the fact that the national side use Arsenal's London Conley ground ahead of their matches at Wembley.
Shawcross will receive with the backing of Capello but the defender was severely criticised by Arsene Wenger after his tackle on 19-year-old Ramsey.
It is the latest in a series of problems for Capello and his assistants, following the John Terry scandal and injuries to Ashley Cole and Rio Ferdinand.
Yet England staff did not try to contact Shawcross before the squad meeting, which took place at a Hertfordshire hotel last night ahead of Wednesday's friendly against Egypt.
Reports from Stoke have assured them that the 22-year-old is in a suitable state of mind for international duty.
