Stoke's Pulis pleased with winning performance

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis was pleased with the performance of his side in their 3-2 win over Fulham despite conceding two late goals which gave their opponents hope.

The Potters were three goals up by the 37th minute thanks to goals from Tuncay Sanli, Adboulaye Faye and Mamady Sidibe but almost gave up their lead when Damien Duff and Clint Dempsey got the Cottagers back in the contest.

But fortunately for Pulis, his charges kept their nerve and managed to record a vital three points, delighting their boss.

"I thought it was a very good first-half performance and we could have scored more goal to be honest," he said.

"We really pressed them in and got after them and I thought we did really well and looked tight together.

"Fair play to Fulham in the second half, they came out and pushed bodies forward and made it nervous for us."

Pulis admitted that his team had recently struggled to finish their chances but was happy that they could do so this time around.

"We have created good chances but just haven't taken them," he added.

"I think there were eight good opportunities today we created and we've taken three so I'm pleased."
