Stoke City manager Tony Pulis insists he doesn't really care what sort of money bigger clubs are spending on players as he would prefer to worry about his own backyard.
The Potters currently find themselves in an unusual position in the top half of the league (8th) and Pulis says his unfashionable squad don't care about outsiders as they would rather focus on what they can control by taking it right up to the top clubs in England.
"I just don't care what the bigger clubs do in terms of spending. It honestly doesn't bother me at all," Pulis said.
"The only thing that I concentrate all my efforts on is what we are doing.
"For us to be eighth in a league like this - and solvent - is remarkable. But it's not an accident, either."
But Pulis said what he has attained so far is not yet enough.
"We are a long, long way from what we want to achieve but come the day that I do walk away, I want to be very proud of what I have achieved here," he added.
