Stoke's Hughes says Liverpool target Bojan going nowhere

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has made it vehemently clear that Bojan Krkic will not be leaving the club anytime soon.

The 24-year old Spanish forward has been in fine form for the Potters in recent times, scoring four goals in 16 outings, which has reportedly piqued the interest of Liverpool.

As Stoke prepare for their FA Cup fourth round meeting with Rochdale on Monday, Hughes denied any claims that the Staffordshire outfit have any desire to sell the former Barcelona man who has now settled well in English football.

"Don't bother," said Hughes of any clubs who were keen on Bojan.

"He's done exceptionally well. We knew it would take a little bit of time for him to get to grips with the Premier League and he's done that.

"He's playing well. He's a talented football player and I think he's proving that in the Premier League.

"At this stage of his career that he's had disappointments such as being sent out on loan by Barcelona, the disappointments he had in terms of his game time and maybe how he was treated in certain situations.

"So he's come here and really embraced what we're doing and I think he's enjoying the environment that we can give him.

"I think he's very happy. We have no intention of encouraging any interest in him. He's a big part of what we want to do, moving forward, so it's a non-story."
