Stoke's Dickinson enjoying Barnsley spell

Stoke City defender Carl Dickinson admits he is thoroughly enjoying his loan stint with Barnsley.

The 22-year old has become a first team regular at Oakwell after crossing from Britannia Stadium in September and is loving the fact he is playing first team football at a club he feels comfortable at.

"I think I've settled in well. I needed the games. I was getting frustrated at Stoke because I wasn't getting in the first team like I had the previous season when we got promoted," he told the Sheffield Star.

"I played nearly 30 games the season we moved up, but new players joined the squad and you find yourself down the pecking order.

"I'd love to play at the highest level, but right now I just want to play football and I'm really enjoying being at Barnsley.

"I want to show people that I'm a good player and, hopefully, I'm doing that right now."
