Stoke's Adam fancies overseas move

Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam is open to a move abroad after being linked with a move to Real Sociedad. "There's better weather than here," he told the Stoke Sentinel. "I would love the experience of playing abroad because it's certainly something different. Hopefully, more British players will go and do it."

Adam is reported to have been watched by Real Sociedad assistant coach Billy McKinlay in Stoke's defeat to Burnley last month, but the 29-year-old is not paying too much attention to the speculation.

"It's going to happen when you have good players not playing and the opportunity for clubs to have a look at things (in the window)," he added.

"But there's nothing happening at the moment and I am happy to be here at Stoke."
