Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is moving for Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome.
The Mirror says Pulis is ready to step up a £3.75m move for Jerome, after failing to persuade Spurs striker Peter Crouch to move to the Britannia Stadium.
Jerome, 25, wants to quit Birmingham following their relegation to the Championship, and Blues are prepared to sell in order to cut costs.
Fulham failed with a £3m bid for the ex-Cardiff star Jerome earlier this month.
