Stoke remain in hunt for Hull fullback Josh Tymon

Stoke City remain in the hunt for Hull City fullback Josh Tymon.

The Sentinel says Stoke believe the 18 year-old left back is a free agent and can therefore pack his bags and move wherever he wants.

But the deal's official announcement has been delayed Hull insist a contractual clause to extend his stay with them was triggered last year and that ties him to the club until the summer of 2018.

Tymon wrote to the club at the time of the alleged triggering of the clause to say he didn't want to stay.

But Hull issued a statement over the weekend saying: "We would like to place on record that we have not accepted an offer for Josh Tymon, who has 12 months remaining on his contract. The club exercised our option to extend his contract back in December 2016, to expire in the summer of 2018."

If he does move, whether or not as a free agent, Hull are still entitled to a fee because he is under 24.
