Stoke City have cancelled Jermaine Pennant's contract by mutual consent.

He re-signed for Stoke last summer after his original contract had ended and Mark Hughes replaced Tony Pulis as manager.

Pennant now becomes a free agent and can sign for another club even after the January transfer window expires.
