Stoke City reject Diego Arismendi has played his way into the Uruguay squad.
Arismendi has been placed on standby for friendlies against Costa Rica and Chile.
Manager Oscar Tabarez has been impressed with the 26-year-old's form since he made his way back from the Potteries to sign for first club Nacional in 2013.
