Stoke City are closing on a deal for Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph.

The Daily Star says the England international has become an outcast at the Etihad after being told he is not part of Pep Guardiola's plans.

Delph has not travelled with Guardiola's squad to America to take part in their pre-season tour.

Etihad bosses have been reluctant to let him go out on-loan and have told Stoke it must be a permanent deal.

Delph is now poised to join Stoke in a £10m deal.
