New Stoke City boss Paul Lambert will be handed a healthy winter market transfer kitty.
The Mirror says Lambert will meet with the club's owners today to discuss potential targets and also how much he will have to spend.
They are unlikely to break the bank but Lambert is expected to get some cash to get the club away from the relegation zone.
There is a realisation that the squad needs strengthening as last year the club spent money on the stadium rather than new players.
Former boss Mark Hughes went along with the club's vision but Stoke will now look to push through some deals because they are desperate to stay up.
