Nancy centre-back Modou Diagne is attracting Premier League interest.

L'Equipe says Diagne is on the radar of Stoke, relegated Middlesbrough and play-off hopefuls Reading, as well as Bordeaux and Montpellier and an unnamed German team.

The 23-year-old's status is said to be up for discussion after Nancy ended up in the Ligue 1 drop zone, even if he has two years left on his contract.

Club president Jacques Rousselot has fixed a €4m (£3.5m) price tag on the former France youth defender – who now represents Senegal.
