Stoke City have ended their pursuit of Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf.

The Sentinel says the Potters are calling time on the transfer after becoming exasperated by their dealings with the Bundesliga club.

Only a massive U-turn by Hannover, it seems, would breathe new life into the move before the end of the transfer window in under three weeks.
