Stoke City are planning a £1.5 million bid for Southampton winger Andrew Surman.

The Mirror says Stoke boss Tony Pulis has targeted the England Under-21 star, and knows that cash-strapped Saints are under pressure to sell to ease debts.

Surman, 22, will be the first to go, with Premier League Potters poised to take advantage.
