Stoke City's agreement with Tottenham crock Jonathan Woodgate has been detailed.
The Sun says Potters chairman Peter Coates, who owns betting giant Bet365, yesterday staked some of his multi-million fortune on the injury-riddled star by granting him a one-year deal.
Woodgate will start on £20,000 a week at Stoke, which will double to £40,000 in time in the pay-as-you-play agreement.
Former Stoke and England keeper Gordon Banks declared: "I think it's a smashing signing. He has lots of experience and has proven his ability."
