Stoke in partnership talks with Real Madrid

Stoke City are hoping to establish ties with Real Madrid.

Stoke are hopeful of creating a link with Real Madrid after their academy director was invited to the Bernabeu for an educational visit.

The progress of the academy has caught the eye of the Spanish giants and director Dave Wright and the club's partners Coerver Coaching will deliver a presentation on their Masters Degree course.

A Talent Identification and Development in Soccer course is run by the Real Madrid School of University Studies and Wright hopes it can be the start of a long association between the two clubs.

"It will be an educational trip not only for them but for ourselves to see what they do and hopefully it could be the start of a link with them," Wright told stokecityfc.com.

"We believe we are the only Premier League club to have received a formal invite from Madrid which we consider a bit of an honour and achievement."
