Stoke pair Etherington, Pennant in doubt for Easter double header

Stoke City could be without wingers Matthew Etherington and Jermaine Pennant for this weekend's double header.

The Potters take on Wolves at home on Saturday before heading to Aston Villa on Monday for the heavy Easter schedule but manager Tony Pulis has to wait on the fitness of the wide duo before ruling them in or out.

"Although Matty's looked a nasty one at the time, it is Jermaine's injury that is giving us more cause for concern at the moment," he told the club's official website.

"We have got a clear week to get them right, but they are both nursing heavy knocks, so we will just have to see how they respond to treatment, especially with two big games in 48 hours coming up over the Easter period."
