Stoke City are demanding top price for striker James Beattie.
The Sun says the Potters have told Blackburn they will not get Beattie on the cheap.
Potters rate the striker at £2million and boss Tony Pulis is considering using him as bait in a cash-plus-player bid for Newcastle frontman Andy Carroll.
