Stoke City chairman Peter Coates remains confident of signing off contract Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf.
The former Manchester United forward is also interesting West Bromwich Albion.
"We remain confident and are not losing any sleep over it," Coates told The Sentinel. "We also have other irons in the fire because there are other things we want to do too.
"It's just a case of getting the balance right and making sure you are covered in all the positions you need to be.
"But right now is a quiet time of year because managers and players are away, though agents never go away."
