Stoke City No2 Dave Kemp has urged fans to be patient over their summer market work.

Kemp acknowledged that some fans would be disappointed by the lack of firm transfer business thus far, but insisted there was plenty of activity going on behind the scenes to ensure manager Tony Pulis landed the targets he wants.

"The manager is working on stuff while we speak," he told The Sentinel, "but these things are not always as easy as people think.

"It's easy to sign the wrong player, but not so easy to sign the right one.

"You have to be patient because sometimes you also have to deal with politics and all sorts of things. But rest assured a lot of work is being done to bring in the right players."
