Stoke City management believe Peter Crouch deserves a recall to the England squad.
With Stuart Pearce now taking charge of England's friendly against the Netherlands on February 29, and Harry Redknapp widely tipped to take over for this summer's European Championships, Crouch has been urged to try to make up for lost time between now and the end of the season.
"He would have to be considered, whoever takes the job.
"When you get a new manager coming in anywhere, you always get players taking a step up, but Peter has been playing well for us anyway.""His form this season has been good and his record for England is better than most," Stoke assistant manager Dave Kemp told The Sentinel.
