Stoke City assistant manager Dave Kemp admits they're delighted with the first days working with former Tottenham defender Jonathan Woodgate.
Kemp was purring after seeing Woodgate play a magnificent 45 minutes at the heart of City's rearguard against Sheffield Wednesday.
Kemp said: "If we can keep him fit, then we have one of the best centre-halves in the business.
"You don't get a move to Real Madrid unless you are a top player and, let's face it, he would still be at the Bernabeu if he had stayed clear of injuries."
