Stoke City No2 Mark Bowen says Ryan Shawcross' latest knock isn't serious.

Shawcross sat out of the opener at Burton Albion on Saturday after a minor set-back in training but is expected to join in with training this week.

Bowen told Radio Stoke: "When he first went down we were thinking, 'What the hell is this now?'

"But it's just a little tweak in his back and he should be fit to train.

"Naturally we were worried at first, but it's nothing to do with his old injury.

"As far we're aware he's in the frame for Preston on Saturday."
