Stoke City No2 Mark Bowen says he and manager Mark Hughes will stick to their playing principles.

The Potters impressed their fans in defeat at Liverpool.

Bowen said: “How long will it take? Well, how long is a piece of string? All I would say is that we are working on it every day.

“We came here and it would have been very easy when, under pressure as a defender, to revert to launching it forward.

“But I think, overall, we kept playing the way we want and I know our fans want to see it that way. That’s what they demand now and that’s the way forward for this club.”
